Neonatal/ NICU Nurse
We have a secondment opportunity for a ward leader to join the nursing team on Kinnier Wilson HDU which is a 12 bed High Dependency Unit. Applicants who are interested will have experience in either ITU, CCU or HDU caring for level 2 or 3 patients. We are looking for a nurse with passion for neuroscience, drive to improve quality of care and skills at supporting a team, focused on delivering the right care and the development of staff.
The Unit cares for emergency neurosurgery patients from all over the South East and London for neurovascular and neurosurgery, tracheostomies, extra ventricular and lumbar drains and trauma. If you want to join the neuroscience revolution in South East London and join a trauma centre, this is the place to be. In return for your skills we will ensure you have the support and education to develop as a clinical expert and achieve the high standards you aspire to.
- To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursing service in a specified ward or department.
- Ensuring the nursing care delivered is of a high standard.
- Appropriate and effective utilisation of human and physical resources.
- The demonstration of effective leadership and motivation of staff.
- To be an effective role model.
