Overview

Community First Aider role at Imperial Student Volunteering Unit with St John Ambulance to deliver community first aid and education, support youth, wellbeing, events, and fundraising; your time makes a real impact.

We are looking to develop our volunteering offer and become an integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.

• Deliver first aid to those in need through local events.
• Provide education to the public so that the ripple effect of First Aid grows.
• Support the growth of community partnerships, bring people along to our cause, grow our membership and fundraising base, and spread the message that First Aid Saves Lives.
• Volunteer with St John Ambulance and contribute to an essential service; report to the Unit as required and participate in volunteer processes.

• A genuine sense of satisfaction and pride from delivering an essential service.
• A role that is great for you, your community, and the nation, with a small time commitment.
• Access to a proper induction and the training you need for the role you take on, plus a supportive volunteering environment.

• Induction and training are provided for the role.
• Information about our volunteer roles is included in the role descriptions and in the volunteer charter.
• Meeting nights take place on a Tuesday.
• Volunteer selection sessions are planned between 01/08/2025 and 01/11/2025 with details provided to those shortlisted.
• Induction & training dates:
  Welcome Event (Induction) between 01/08/2025 and 01/12/2025; 2 Day Community First Aider Course.
