Location: City Of London
Public Relations (PR) Volunteer
We are looking for a PR volunteer to support the team advocate and support people with hypermobility, related conditions, and neurodivergent individuals, offering resources and promoting awareness.

Requirements- Experience in a PR role – building relationships with the media and understanding journalists' operations.
- Excellent written English and the ability to write to media standards and conventions.
- Self‑motivated, proactive and reliable, using your initiative to make things happen.
- Passion for our vision at SEDSConnective.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key media.
- Develop a media contacts database using desk research and free tools.
- Create media hooks and talking points.
- Monitor coverage opportunities with your own or free PR tools and software.
- Monitor the fundraising industry to generate fresh PR stories and identify trends.
- Assist with writing press releases issued by the charity.
- Manage the approval process for all press releases.
- Maintain and update media lists and contact databases.
- Identify and secure speaker opportunities for our founder.
- Work closely with trustees to identify new opportunities and increase donations.
- Produce branding materials and key information for media distribution.
- Help grow our social media presence and collaborate with the marketing team.
- Support online blogs.
- Maintain a calendar of opportunities in partnership with Communications and PR Lead.
- Work 3–7 hours per week, either in or out of office hours.
- This role is completely remote.

We also support neuro‑divergent people, including autistic individuals and those with ADHD, as well as their families and carers.
