Are you someone who loves turning complex ideas into smart, competitive solutions? Do you enjoy working at the heart of a fast-moving production environment where your decisions directly shape commercial success?

A well-established printing company is looking for a talented Estimator to join its Commercial team and play a key role in winning new work and supporting existing customers.

The Opportunity

As Estimator, you’ll be the link between customer requirements and production reality. Working closely with Account Managers, Procurement, and Production teams, you’ll produce accurate, competitive estimates that drive profitability and support business growth. This is a hands‑on role where your commercial insight, technical knowledge, and problem‑solving skills will truly matter.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Interpreting customer briefs and translating them into clear, accurate, and competitive estimates
  • Exploring multiple production routes to identify the most efficient and cost‑effective solutions
  • Preparing and presenting estimates and recommendations to management
  • Liaising with Procurement on raw materials, specifications, MOQs, lead times, and pricing
  • Calculating material quantities, transport weights, and dimensions
  • Sourcing and costing outwork services in line with approved supplier policies
  • Building strong working relationships with Account Managers to ensure seamless quoting and job handover
  • Creating BOMs, item cards, and production routes
  • Supporting job reviews and analysing end‑of‑job costings to continuously improve future estimates
  • Contributing ideas to improve systems, accuracy, and overall estimating performance
What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel)
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
  • Clear, confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy, fast‑paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset and a proactive, solution‑focused approach
  • Background in the printing industry

Desirable

  • Understanding of reprographics and production machinery (speed, capacity, tolerances, etc.)
  • Strong emotional intelligence and relationship‑building skills
Why Join?
  • Be part of a respected printing company with a strong reputation
  • Work in a role that has real influence on commercial and operational success
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals across multiple departments
  • Opportunity to contribute ideas and improvements that make a tangible impact
  • A varied role where no two days are the same

If you’re an experienced Estimator — or ready to take the next step in your commercial career within print — we’d love to hear from you.
