Salary: £56,000 - £66,000 basic DOE + £5,000 Car Allowance
Working Hours:
36.5 hours per week

A well‑established and highly respected fire protection and security business is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to join its growing projects team. The company delivers complex fire detection and life safety solutions across a range of commercial and industrial environments. This role will focus on the successful delivery of high‑value fire alarm projects (£3m‑£6m), ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and fully compliant with relevant regulations.

- Manage fire alarm projects from design through to completion
- Develop and control detailed project plans, programmes, and budgets
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Coordinate contractors, engineers, designers, and internal teams
- Review fire alarm designs and specifications for compliance
- Oversee installation quality, testing, commissioning, and handover
- Manage system integration with HVAC, security, and BMS systems
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer requirements
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including:
- As‑built drawings
- Test and commissioning reports
- Compliance and certification paperwork
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar (preferred)
- Proven experience managing fire protection projects up to £6m
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems
- Experience with Public Address (PA) and Disabled Refuge systems (essential)
- Good understanding of fire safety legislation and building regulations
- Familiarity with fire alarm manufacturers and system technologies
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) desirable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
