Assistant Manager

We are looking for a passionate, driven and hands-on Assistant Manager to join the leadership team at The Greyhound, one of Kensington’s flagship Greene King pubs. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads from the front, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences while running a tight, well-organised operation.

As Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in all aspects of pub operations, including:

• Leading, motivating and developing the team on shift.
• Delivering outstanding service and guest experience.
• Managing day-to-day operations across FOH and BOH.
• Stock control, cash handling and compliance.
• Supporting with rotas, training and performance management.
• Driving sales, standards and profitability.

You will be a visible leader on the floor, setting the tone for service, standards and team culture.

• Currently in a supervisory or management role within hospitality.
• Confident leading shifts and managing people.
• Highly organised, reliable and detail-focused.
• Commercially aware with a strong sense of ownership.
• Calm under pressure and solutions-driven.
• Passionate about pubs, people and great service.
• Experience in a branded environment is beneficial but not essential – attitude, work ethic and leadership ability are key.
