Cleaning & GroundsOverseeing cleaning staff (in some schools)
Ensuring classrooms and communal areas are ready for use
Managing waste disposal
Basic grounds maintenance (playgrounds, sports areas)
Setting up halls for exams, assemblies, or parents evenings
Moving furniture and equipment
Receiving deliveries
Assisting during events
In many London schools, exam setup must follow rules set by Joint Council for Qualifications.
Working HoursOften split shifts (early morning and late afternoon/evening)
May include occasional weekend work

Practical maintenance skills
