St Clement is a new hotel in central London, set to open in 2026, and we’re getting ready to build our team.

About St Clement

St. Clement Hotel is part of 180 Quarter, by developers Mark Wadhwa and Tim Robinson from The Vinyl Factory, and creative director Alex Eagle.

Led by Nick Jones as his first independent hotel project since stepping down as CEO of Soho House.

Features 90 guest rooms, 15 river lofts, Corner Shop (@cornershop
180), two restaurants, a bar, a screening room, event spaces and a 25,000 ft2 Health Club and Spa.

Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Shift Engineer ment, located in the City of Westminster. The Shift Engineer will be responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure smooth operations. The role involves responding to maintenance requests, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Teamwork and collaboration with other departments will also be required to maintain guest satisfaction and uphold the hotel's high standards.

Qualifications
  • Technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment repairs
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends,
  • Previous experience in hotel or hospitality industry maintenance is an advantage
