Mobile Caretaker

We have an opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker to join our team based at Kingsmead Office, London. This role sits within our Property Services function.

• Provide an effective estate maintenance service by undertaking caretaking, cleaning, basic repair and grounds maintenance duties in accordance with local and legislative procedures to meet customer and organisational needs.
• Carry out risk assessments to identify and report any potential maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment is maintained and to support planned maintenance programmes.
• Provide regular reports to Senior Managers regarding health and safety issues and building maintenance.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing accurate and timely information on progress and responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract specifications and escalating complaints as appropriate.
• Drive a company vehicle as required; drivers must hold a full manual valid UK driving licence.
• Provide in‑house repairs and maintenance for a wide range of properties as part of a not‑for‑profit organisation.

• Demonstrated competency in numeracy and literacy.
• Experience in a similar role or completed similar tasks.
• Practical experience carrying out risk assessments.
• Knowledge of COSHH guidelines.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.

• Salary of £27,940 with an additional policy allowance of £793 per annum (rising to £29,411 with an additional policy allowance of £835 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
