School Premises Assistant - Bexley, Kent

We’re supporting a friendly school in Bexley who are looking for a reliable and hands‑on Premises Assistant to join their site team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping a school safe, clean and well maintained. You’ll be part of a supportive team making sure the school provides the best possible environment for its pupils and staff.

Immediate / ASAP

Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday (occasional flexibility for evening events)
Pay: £16-£16 per hour (depending on experience)

• Assisting with the day‑to‑day maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school site
• Carrying out basic repairs, decorating and upkeep as required
• Setting up rooms for assemblies, events and exams
• Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the site
• Locking/unlocking the premises and monitoring visitors as needed

• Previous experience in a school, facilities or caretaking role preferred
• Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
• Awareness of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
