Senior Associate – Intellectual Property (Contentious)

An established and fast-growing IP team, at a leading Top 100 firm, is looking to add an experienced, commercially minded IP Senior Associate.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys high-quality contentious work, real client exposure and being part of a collaborative team. You’ll be handling IP disputes and litigation, with a particular focus on trademarks, passing off, copyright and design rights.

You’ll work closely with partners and a strong group of associates, acting for well-known and fast-growing clients in the sports, fashion and brand-led sectors. The work is hands-on, varied and often high profile.

You will be given a high level of responsibility from day one — you’ll take ownership of your matters, play a role in shaping strategy and support and develop the junior solicitors in the department. You’ll also be encouraged to raise your profile, get involved in business development and build relationships in the market.

You’ll be an Associate or Senior Associate (5+ PQE) in IP, ideally with a strong contentious focus. You’ll have solid technical knowledge and be comfortable dealing directly with clients.

An interest in business development is important, and while a small following would be desired, but not essential.
