Are you an experienced underwriter with a passion for engineering and construction risks? We’re looking for a Senior Engineering & Construction Underwriter to a market leading insurer to help drive profitable growth across a diverse portfolio of complex and high-value projects.

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of engineering and construction business.
• Evaluate, price, and negotiate new and renewal risks in line with underwriting appetite.
• Collaborate with risk engineers, claims, and actuarial teams to ensure robust decision‑making.
• Monitor market developments and contribute to underwriting strategy.
• Mentor junior underwriters and support team development.

• Significant experience underwriting engineering and/or construction risks with a background at another insurer or syndicate.
• Strong technical knowledge of CAR, EAR, and related products.
• Proven ability to deliver profitable results and build broker relationships.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
