Marine Cargo Underwriter

Lawes Consulting Group are working exclusively with a progressively growing MGA who are recruiting for a Marine Cargo Underwriter. The opportunity will allow you to build upon your knowledge and experience in London Market taking on an active role in decision making process you will define, develop and deliver the underwriting strategy ensuring extreme valuable business is written.

• Stabilise and grow the Cargo account, leveraging relationships within the London Market.
• Underwrite in line with delegated authorities, including specified limits and income levels.
• Develop the portfolio further while monitoring performance metrics and providing regular reports to the Chief Executive.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date statistics.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, signing all necessary documents and wordings.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Relevant experience or educational background that aligns with the role.
• Cert/Dip CII preferred not essential.
