We are currently recruiting an experienced Underwriter to form a key part of Chubb's Casualty Major Accounts Underwriting Team, working on a large & multinational book of business.

The successful candidate will have experience in liability underwriting, preferably with large & multinational organisations, and will have responsibility for growth of the Portfolio with key Brokers and Clients, whilst maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts.

• Underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget and local business plan.
• Represent and promote Chubb corporately to brokers, internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Service key producers and clients through an engaged programme of proactive external visitation, monitoring business acquisition and retention as well as maximising cross‑selling opportunities.
• Assist in formulating and implementing underwriting strategy, forecasts and portfolio management to achieve underwriting profitability; ensure quality control within defined area of responsibility.
• Assist with development of products within areas of specialist expertise to improve client retention and new business, collaborating with peers globally.
• Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business and compliance issues.
• Manage junior colleagues, providing mentoring, training and coaching to build a high‑quality underwriting team.
• Allocate resources to meet business objectives.

• Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Casualty Underwriting, preferably with large multinational business.
• Solid experience dealing with brokers and clients.
• Results‑driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.
• Recognised externally as an experienced professional.
• Experience of leadership, training, mentoring and people development preferred but not essential.
• Considerable market experience.
• ACII preferred, but not essential.
• Continues to develop technical and broader business skill.
