The Role

We are seeking a versatile professional who embodies the qualities of a meticulous Quality Assurance (QA) specialist and possesses the leadership and facilitation skills of an adept team‑lead. As a hybrid Manual QA & Team Lead, you will play a dual role in ensuring the quality of our products through rigorous testing methodologies while also facilitating Agile processes and handling line management duties.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Execute manual and/or automated tests to identify software defects, usability issues, and inconsistencies across different product versions.
  • Document and track issues systematically using bug tracking tools, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
  • Collaborate with development teams to communicate bugs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regression tests to validate fixes and ensure the resolution of identified issues.

Team Lead:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Backlog Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Backlog Review, Retrospective) and ensure their effectiveness.
  • Enable the team to remove impediments, resolve conflicts, and make decisions collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure clear communication, alignment, and understanding of product requirements.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, track progress, and provide insights to enhance productivity and delivery predictability.
  • Work with team members to help them set professional development goals for the year.
  • Handle holiday requests and work with senior management on periodic pay review and bonus awards.

Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Contribute to creating and maintaining testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in QA/testing roles and 1 year of experience in an Agile/Scrum Master role.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in testing methodologies, test case design, bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira), and understanding of Agile methodologies and Kanban framework.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership, facilitation, and mentoring capabilities to guide and inspire the team towards continuous improvement.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Strong problem‑solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to testing and process enhancement.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with running simple Linux commands.
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools would be beneficial.
