Responsibilities
  • As a Digital Forensics Analyst, you will manage your own caseload, apply accredited forensic methods, and deliver clear, defensible reports for investigative and legal use.
  • You'll work with in a highly regulated environment (ISO 17025 / FSR) and collaborate with a range of stakeholders on sensitive and technically detailed cases.
  • Analyse and interpret digital evidence across multiple device types.
  • Produce accurate, concise and defensible forensic reports.
  • Work in alignment with ISO 17025 / FSR procedures and quality standards.
  • Manage your caseload with strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Use industry‑standard tools such as FTK Imager, Cellebrite, MSAB, Magnet and others.
  • Support method validation, audits, equipment checks and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with investigators and legal teams; prepare statements and attend court when required.
  • Offer guidance and informal support to junior colleagues.
Experience You ll Ideally Bring
  • Experience in law enforcement or an ISO 17025 / FSR‑accredited digital forensic environment.
  • Strong technical capability in acquisition, imaging, analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of ISO 17025, the FSR Code, ACPO Guidelines and forensic quality principles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances (e.g., SC / NPPV).
  • Confidence working with sensitive or distressing material.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain findings to non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience providing expert witness evidence (desirable).
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in digital forensics or related fields.
  • Professional memberships (IACIS, ENFSI, UKFA) are welcome but not essential.
Important Requirements

This is a fully on‑site position with no option for remote or hybrid working due to the nature of the role.

You must be able to obtain, or already hold, the appropriate level of UK security clearance
