Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join a forward-thinking financial services organisation embarking on a greenfield platform build. This is a unique opportunity to shape the foundation of a next-generation infrastructure in a highly regulated environment, leveraging cloud, automation, and AI technologies.

You will play a key hands‑on role in designing, building, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high‑performing platform built on AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes. Ideal candidates will bring a development or scripting mindset, with the ability to automate infrastructure, streamline operations, and contribute to architectural decisions.

This is a full hands‑on engineering position, offering significant influence over technology choices and the opportunity to introduce AI / LLM integrations into the platform as it evolves.

• Design, build, and manage a secure, scalable platform environment in AWS.
• Implement and maintain container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Develop automation tooling, scripts, and infrastructure‑as‑code solutions (Python, Terraform, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Apply strong networking knowledge to optimise performance, security, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with financial services regulations and internal security policies.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native observability solutions.
• Explore and integrate emerging technologies including AI / LLM‑based solutions to enhance automation and operational efficiency.

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS, etc.)
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
• Expertise with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, networking, monitoring)
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or tooling development
• Good understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
• Background in Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments
• Strong awareness of security, compliance, and resilience in financial or regulated sectors
• Experience introducing or working with AI / LLM solutions
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Git Lab CI/CD, or similar tools
• Exposure to financial services or other highly regulated industries
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
