Director Consulting Expert - Service Design

Overview

In this role, you will lead complex service design engagements across digital and organisational transformation programmes, ensuring services meet user needs, operational realities and strategic goals. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders as a trusted advisor, shaping service, experience and organisational strategies that deliver measurable impact while meeting GDS, DDaT and accessibility standards. You will also play a key role in strengthening service design maturity across CGI.

This includes guiding teams through high-quality delivery, supporting business development activity, and helping position service design as a critical driver of long-term value, efficiency and risk reduction for our clients.

• Lead & Advise on end-to-end service design for complex, multi-team programmes
• Shape Strategy that aligns user needs, organisational goals and operational constraints
• Influence & Align senior stakeholders across client and internal environments
• Champion Quality through design reviews, coaching and standards assurance
• Grow Capability by contributing to communities of practice, mentoring and shared learning
• Support Growth through opportunity identification, proposals and solution design

• Extensive experience leading service design within large-scale digital or organisational transformation
• Strong knowledge of GDS Service Standard, DDaT practice and inclusive design principles
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor
• Experience integrating service design with research, content, technology, policy and operations
• A track record of contributing to proposals, bids and business development activity
