Overview
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Product to lead our Technology-led Digital Product function and establish a high-performing, outcome-driven product culture. This role sets direction, raises standards and improves outcomes, defining what good product delivery looks like and ensuring the right levers are pulled to improve site performance while developing a high-performing product function from a newly created team.
The Head of Product will provide strategic leadership, hands-on guidance, and decision quality across the Digital Product function, with a clear focus on commercial impact, experimentation and scalable site evolution.
- The overall effectiveness and maturity of the Digital Product function.
- On-site performance outcomes driven by product decisions (e.g. CR, RPV, etc.).
- Defining and maintaining a clear product vision and strategy.
- Establishing best-in-class product management and experimentation practices.
- Developing the current Product team into a high-performing area of the business which contributes strong, attributable revenue uplift to the business.
- Ensuring Product is a respected, credible decision-making function across the business (Product Vision, Strategy & Direction).
- Define and own the digital product vision and strategy for the website, aligned to commercial and customer goals.
- Set clear product principles that guide decision-making, prioritisation, and trade-offs.
- Regularly review and adjust strategy based on feedback, performance, insight and market context.
- Be the party accountable for all product-led site changes.
- Ensure product decisions are grounded in data, customer insight and commercial impact.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders to align on success measures and expectations.
- Act as a senior voice in conversations around site performance, optimisation and growth.
- Set the experimentation and CRO strategy for the business.
- Ensure experimentation is structured, well governed and commercially focused.
- Define what "good" looks like across the Product function.
- Ensure all tools (e.g. search, merchandising & experimentation platforms) are being used effectively and delivering strong value.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Digital Product team.
- Coach individuals on Product thinking, decision-making, commercial framing and stakeholder management.
- Build a culture of Accountability, Learning and constructive challenge.
- Support future planning and scaling of the Product function to support wider business growth.
- Define and embed a clear product operating model to ensure roles and responsibilities are clear and understood.
- Ensure Product builds strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholder groups.
- Ensure governance enables speed and quality to be delivered.
- Act as a senior Product representative to the wider business.
- Build trust and credibility by making clear, evidence-based decisions and communicating trade-offs transparently, whilst delivering attributable commercial impact.
- Partner closely with the CTO to shape the long-term evolution of the digital product landscape.
- Significant experience in a senior Product leadership role within e-commerce or a digital-first business.
- Strong track record of improving on-site performance through product-led optimisation and experimentation.
- Deep understanding of CRO, experimentation and digital product best practices.
- Commercially astute with the ability to link product decisions to revenue impact.
- Proven experience building and developing product teams.
- Confident working with senior stakeholder groups and able to influence and challenge at leadership level.
- Experience working closely with Technology and Engineering teams.
- Previous experience working for an online fashion brand.
- Experience in a Shopify or Shopify Plus environment.
- Familiarity with search, merchandising, and personalisation platforms (e.g. Bloomreach, Algolia, Nosto).
- 7+ years' experience in buying with a relevant brand, with at least 3+ years in a senior role.
- Trend forecasting and seasonal product planning.
- Assortment planning with focus on best sellers and margin management.
- Vendor and supplier negotiation, including international sourcing.
- Inventory management and stock optimisation.
- Data-driven decision-making using sales and performance analytics.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Knowledge of fashion, digital-first, and social commerce trends.
- Cross-functional collaboration with design, social, marketing, and operations teams.
