IT Support Engineer – London Office

Cundall are leading the way in the provision of creative, sustainable design solutions, and to keep up with the demands of the organisation, require a hands‑on, organised and collaborative IT Support Engineer to assist our team of multi‑disciplined engineers globally. In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint an IT Support Engineer to join our diverse team in our London office to take responsibility for resolving user issues sent to the Service Desk and provide hands‑on support for IT issues arising in the region and international offices.

The role includes providing first line support for all Cundall users, provision of remote support and administration and support of desktops, laptops and Microsoft Teams. This role may require frequent travel to our other Cundall offices.

You will also act as a main point of contact for our external consultants and internal management and liaison as appropriate.

To succeed in this role, you should have a problem‑solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions. You should also be familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques. Ultimately, you will ensure prompt and accurate customer service and work to resolve IT system issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve user issues submitted to the Service Desk.
  • Provide first‑line support for all Cundall users.
  • Administer and support desktops, laptops and Microsoft Teams.
  • Provide remote support and administration.
  • Travel frequently to other Cundall offices as required.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external consultants and internal management.
  • Provide prompt and accurate customer service and resolve IT system issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Formal qualification: bachelor's degree in computer science or IT.
  • Proven practical experience providing first/second line support.
  • Experience working within a Professional Services Firm.
  • Experience with build and deployment via SCCM/MS Intune.
  • Experience providing support with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Windows Operating System, Servers, Cisco VPN, WLAN, Newforma, MS Office, NAS, TCP/IP, DHCP and WNS.
  • Experience in basic network troubleshooting, structured cabling and PC setup and remote‑control using Team Viewer and RDP.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate an existing knowledge base to resolve technical issues and add to that knowledge base.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer‑service driven attitude, and high standards of attention to detail.
  • Experience with network administration, command line scripts, debugging and fixing, and commissioning new hardware.
