THE ROLEAs the Engineering Manager, you’ll report directly to the CPTO and lead a team while being hands‑on through a pivotal phase of growth. Your mission: build data products, optimize data collection, and drive automation across the business. This role is 60% hands‑on technical leadership and 40% mentorship, focusing on big data, efficiency, and product innovation.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Designing scalable data pipelines (GCP, Big Query, Python, SQL) and real‑time data systems (Pub Sub).
- Mentoring a team of data and analytics engineers, aligning technical delivery with business goals, and owning the data roadmap.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to build data reporting interfaces and tools that empower both internal teams and clients.
- 6+ years of engineering experience, with at least 1.5 years in a management role leading technical teams.
- Strong background in big data and AdTech – experience with GCP, Big Query, Pub Sub, SQL and Python is essential.
- Data analysis and visualization tools such as Looker are also highly desirable.
- Product‑oriented mindset:
Ability to understand business needs before designing solutions. - Optimization and efficiency focus:
Proven track record in automating processes and improving data quality. - Cultural adaptability:
Comfortable working in a diverse, global team and navigating change. - Background in AdTech, data engineering and data analytics is highly desirable.
- £80,000–£100,000 salary, with a global incentive plan (up to 3 months’ salary).
