Base pay range A Bank based in the City of London is currently seeking a Network and Security Engineer to join their EMEA Technology team.

The Network and Security Engineer will be responsible for supporting the data network and all other aspects of networking including firewall and network infrastructure.

The role will cover Incident Management, where the individual will take ownership of network related incidents and troubleshoot from the first alert through to a conclusive resolution, liaising and taking charge of vendors where necessary.

The team also help maintain and monitor network performance, troubleshooting a multi-protocol system network, as well as managing Cisco routing and switching.

The position will also involve project support to delivery teams, assisting in key network data project and objectives to improve the functionality and stability of the infrastructure.

Seeking a well rounded Engineer with a number of the key skills listed below;

• An understanding of ISO layers, IP addressing and Subnetting
• Layer 3 Path Control, IPv4 redistribution, EIGRP based solutions
• OSPF based solutions, BGP based solutions, Layer 2 switching
• VLAN’s, High availability
• Firewalls;
  Palo Alto, CheckPoint and Cisco ASA
• F5 BigIP
• Tetration
