Overview

Provide expert clinical intervention for service users who are at risk of clinical deterioration and cardiac arrest. Subject Matter Expert for resuscitation. Support the delivery of all resuscitation training from basic to advanced to the multi disciplinary team. Working directly with the Resuscitation Service Lead adopting an integrated approach between resuscitation and other teams within the education academy and wider teams.

To ensure that robust systems and processes are implemented. Using evidence based practice to guide resuscitation training and improve patient safety.

Responsibilities
  • Operational management of the resuscitation team members as delegated by the Resuscitation Service Lead to ensure the team functions as an experienced, helpful resource to all staff within the Trust.
  • Attend relevant trust-wide committees offering specialist advice and support.
  • In conjunction with the Resuscitation Service Lead working with the Deputy Director for Education Academy to ensure that resuscitation training meets national standards.
  • Support the Resuscitation Service Lead to ensure there are sufficient resuscitation training programs to enable staff to maintain compliance to acceptable standard for their role.
  • To be a part of the continuous audit and review of the Trust resuscitation service, evaluate outcomes and respond to clinical risk issues as needed.
