Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Consultant Paediatrician to join our friendly community paediatrics team based at Chalk Hill Primary Care Centre in Brent, North West London. Our clinics are delivered either at Wembley Centre for Health or Willesden Centre for Health, as well as on site in 1 Special school in Brent. This post is for 8 PAs.
Candidates are expected to be on the GMC specialist Register in paediatrics with CCT/CCST in Community Paediatrics, or to be UK specialist trainees within 6 months of CCT/CCST/CESR at date of interview. The successful applicant will join our team in providing "great care closer to home".

The Brent Community Paediatric Team sits within Brent Children's Clinical Services Unit (CSU) alongside other specialist services including Children's Community Nursing, Special School Nursing, Looked After Children, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy as well as universal services such as School Nursing and Health Visiting. The post holder will be expected to work as part of the multidisciplinary team, covering responsibilities related to Clinical Activities (e.g. General and Specialist CDT clinics, triaging referrals, MDT clinical discussions or meetings, Child Protection medical assessments, EHCP medical assessments) with appropriate clinical administration time and support;
Teaching and Training (e.g. departmental teaching for residents and colleagues, providing educational and/or clinical supervision, teaching for medical or other clinical students, and at regional meetings); and Management and Leadership (e.g. QI and service development, clinical governance, and Lead Consultant roles as per specific interests and service requirements).
