Responsibilities

The postholders will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive community paediatric service within Specialist Children & Young People's Services and will include responsibilities in the following areas:

Clinical Activities
  • Consultant clinics and related administrative work
  • Clinical triage of referrals
  • Clinical supervision as "Consultant of the Day" including Child protection
  • MDT clinical discussions or meetings
  • Any clinical patient-related meetings
Teaching
  • To contribute to departmental teaching
  • To contribute to teaching of medical students particularly in relation to community child health services
Management and Leadership
  • Clinical Supervision
  • Clinical governance
  • Management supervision
  • Pathway leadership
Audit, Quality Improvement and Service Development
