Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to join our Babies, Children's, & Young People s Division in the position of Community Operations Lead - Child & Young People s Therapies. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week with patterns to be agreed on appointment. The post is primarily based hael s Community Hospital, providing leadership support to the Children s Community functionalities, with occasional support to North Middlesex, Barnet & Chase Farm, & Royal Free Health Units.

This post has responsibility for the management and clinical leadership of the children s Therapy services comprising Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Dietetics within Enfield Community Services (Child Development Service - Family Hubs - pre-school, schools (special and mainstream)).

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the service, including effective deployment of staff and resources to meet demands of service users; ensure response times meet locally agreed guidelines and contractual obligations.
  • Implement systems and processes to ensure services are delivered in accordance with Trust-wide policies and national/local targets.
  • Deliver the Therapies service to the London Borough of Enfield based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs); provide performance data and any information required to support monthly and quarterly KPI reporting.
  • Assume delegated responsibility for delivering clinical governance, service review and development, including setting priorities for this area and monitoring clinical risk (including learning from incidents).
  • Recruitment and selection of Allied Health Professionals; manage staff, their supervision, appraisal, development, disciplinary and grievance procedures; lead skill-mix initiatives.
Context and Collaboration
  • North Mid is part of the North Central London Integrated Care System (ICS), comprising NHS and Local Authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. We work closely with partners and align with system-level financial and performance objectives.
  • We are proud to be a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George s University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
