A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Housing Care Assistant to support residents within over 55s retirement schemes, delivering person-centred housing and care support on behalf of a leading Housing Association.
THE ROLE
As a Housing Care Assistant, you will act as the principal housing contact for leaseholders living within NHG’s retirement schemes, ensuring a safe, supportive and well-managed environment while placing resident wellbeing at the heart of everything you do.
Provide a welcoming and supportive service to new and existing residents, including scheme inductions and welfare checks
Deliver person-centred housing support, completing assessments, risk management and support plans
Report, monitor and manage communal repairs, liaising with contractors and internal teams
Ensure high standards of health, safety and security across schemes, including FRA actions
Support income collection, including service charges and ground rent, promoting positive payment culture
Manage low-level complaints and anti-social behaviour in line with NHG policies
Engage residents through meetings, feedback, and involvement in service planning and improvements
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar housing, care or support role, ideally working with older people or vulnerable adults within a housing environment.
Experience delivering customer-focused services to residents with support needs
Strong understanding of the needs of older people and retirement housing services
Confident working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and compassionate approach
Competent IT skills, including MS Office and housing or case management systems (e.g. Northgate, Inform or similar)
THE CONTRACT
WORKING HOURS:
Monday-Friday, 08:30-16:00

CONTRACT:
3 Month Contract
RATE:
The pay for the role is £20.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £17.05 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
