Job Overview
The PSO role within the Probation Electronic Monitoring team offers an excellent career development opportunity for individuals who are looking to work in a specialist team responding to regional and national priorities. The role sits within a fast paced and continually evolving area of work, requiring close collaboration with key stakeholders at both regional and national levels.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor EM orders from sentence to completion
- Ensure successful fitment of EM equipment
- Complete risk forms
- Complete breach reports for court
- Analyse data
- Engage with stakeholders
- Attend court hearings if necessary
- Provide case management support to a full range of people on probation utilising service procedures and practice directions
- Assess and manage risk, undertake robust assessments, maintain resilience
- Work closely with Probation Practitioners to ensure delivery and enforcement of EM is delivered to a high standard
- Monitoring of EM Orders from the point of sentence to completions
- Ensuring successful fitment of the EM equipment
- Completion of risk forms
- Completion of breach report for Court
- Data analysis
- Stakeholder engagement
- Attendance at Court if necessary
- Right to work in the UK (including Skilled Worker visa rules)
- Full PSO training will be provided
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Ability to assess and manage risk and provide clear reports to tight deadlines
- Resilience and ability to work in a high volume, dynamic environment
- Will require completion of the Civil Service Judgement test (CSJT) and application assessment
- Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows
- Employment start salary advertised at £26,475 (pro rata for part-time)
- Annual leave 25 days increasing to 30 after five years, plus public holidays
