The City of London Police is currently looking for two Caseworker’s who would like to join our Criminal Justice Traffic Process/Complex Crime Caseworker Department.

Description

Of Department

The Administration of Justice department consists of different units that ensure successful communications and prosecutions across the criminal justice sector. This role currently will be specifically based within the complex crime team of the department. This role involves being the caseworker for the complex investigations carried out throughout the specialist departments in the force. All caseworker roles process offences for the courts.

The nature of the offences are significant and high‑profile investigations and as caseworker you will play an integral role to the success of these cases through the justice process.

Within the role of caseworker in AOJ it is important to be able to assist the other teams if staffing requirements need it.

About The AOJ Complex Caseworker Role

The force is the national lead force for Fraud and as such it is paramount that we have the caseworkers to ensure the high‑profile investigations are managed appropriately throughout the justice system. As the national lead it is paramount that the work we do is to a high standard enhancing the reputation of the force and instilling confidence in our partners in our abilities to bring criminals to justice.

Responsibilities

– AOJ Complex Caseworker Role

Managing all cases that have been deemed complex investigations and from the specialist units across the force. This will involve liaising with partners throughout the journey of a case in the justice system that can take a significant amount of time. The caseworker will also be a witness care officer ensuring all victims and witnesses stay engaged and updated throughout the process.
