IR35 Officer will be responsible for adherence to UK tax legislation. An IR35 Officer is the compliance officer ensuring that off-payroll working arrangements are compliant with HMRC regulations to avoid heavy tax penalties.
1. Determining Employment Status (Status Determination Statement - SDS)
2. Assessing "Inside IR35" Factors
3. Compliance and Liability Management
- Tax Deductions (If Inside): PAYE
- Record Keeping
- Contract Review
4. Handling Disputes
- Appeal Process: IR35 status determination.
- Mediation: Mediate in cases where a contractor.
