A West London Local Authority is looking to appoint a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2F) on an initial 6-month contract to support service demand across their Building Control team.

This role is ideal for an experienced RBI who is comfortable managing plan checking and site inspections across a varied caseload of domestic and non-complex commercial schemes.

• Undertake plan checking and site inspections in line with Class 2F registration
• Assess compliance with Building Regulations and associated standards
• Provide clear and professional advice to applicants, contractors and developers
• Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring statutory timescales are met
• Support enforcement activity and contribute to maintaining service performance

• Registered Building Inspector Class 2F status
• Previous experience within a Local Authority Building Control service
• Sound technical knowledge of Building Regulations and Approved Documents
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads independently
• Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
