This dynamic and forward‑thinking mid‑tier firm is investing heavily in its tax team (across all tax disciplines) with a view to growth. The firm has a substantial London presence and several regional offices. Clients include quoted companies and fast‑growing SME’s. In addition to the UK work, the firm has a network that provides substantial work from international clients.

The Tax Group of the London office is growing rapidly. It offers an experienced corporate tax consultant the opportunity to deal with high‑level technical work in a friendly and adult environment. This is one of the best teams of its kind in the profession, and the corporate tax consultancy team has a reputation as a great place to work.

You will provide advice on a range of corporate tax matters, develop ideas and provide a general advisory service to various business clients. Clients range from 100‑1 billion turnovers (several hundred being more typical) and are typically from the large SME sector. Work will typically provide advice on international structural issues and mergers & acquisitions. However, it will also cover anything that a large SME client base needs regarding tax advice.

This is a position that requires lateral thinking and the desire to deal with complex matters. There is a significant amount of work from existing clients, and no specific business development is required in the role. However, a commercial instinct and the ability to deal with clients is a must.

You will need experience in international tax advisory work, including international structural issues, and/or exposure to mergers & acquisitions work. This experience will have to be gained in the SME sector.
