Senior Loans Officer

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Senior Loans Officer to join a specialist loan agency ops team. This is a technically demanding role for an experienced syndicated loans professional who can operate independently as a subject matter expert across the full life cycle of complex loan facilities. You will act as a key escalation point for lenders, borrowers and internal stakeholders, with responsibility for technical oversight, documentation interpretation and sensitive stakeholder management.

This goes beyond day-to-day processing — you will be trusted to exercise sound judgement, manage risk and uphold the highest standards of agency service.

• Loan Life-Cycle Administration:
  Independently manage all loan life-cycle events including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, prepayments, interest period selections, rate settings and fee calculations
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all borrower and lender cashflows in accordance with credit documentation
• Validate notices, funding memos and lender instructions prior to release
• Monitor key dates, conditions precedent and compliance requirements
• Administer a portfolio of complex syndicated loan facilities across multiple structures and currencies
• Interpret and apply credit agreements, amendments, waivers, transfers and consents with a high degree of autonomy

• Stakeholder Management:
  Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, lenders, arrangers and internal legal counsel
• Manage lender communications, notices and approvals with professionalism and authority
• Resolve disputes and queries using sound judgement and a strong understanding of agency obligations

• Risk, Control & Governance:
  Identify and mitigate operational and documentation risks within the agency portfolio
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements
• Support audit, reviews and control testing by providing technical explanations and evidence
• Contribute to continuous improvement of agency processes and procedures

• Minimum 3-5 years in loan administration, agency services or corporate banking operations
• Hands-on experience administering syndicated loans is essential
• Familiarity with LMA standards

• Strong understanding of loan facility agreements from an operational stand point
• In-depth knowledge of syndicated lending and agency roles
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex transactions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
