This role is a 6‑month contract based in Deutsche Bank’s Canary Wharf London offices, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home on a pay‑day‑rate engagement.
Purposeof the role
Join the Anti‑Financial Crime Client Risk Rating Methodology (CRRM) Team as a Risk Methodology Specialist. You will review the AFC Client Risk Rating Risk Lists, manage the annual and ad‑hoc change process, and maintain the AFC Global Risk Lists.
What you’ll do- Perform the annual CRRM risk list review process across all Risk Factor Methodologies (Country, Industry, Product, Entity and Channel Risk Lists) to determine financial crime risk ratings
- Conduct regulatory reviews covering relevant input sources with reference to financial crime risk types, including money‑laundering, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, counter‑terrorist and proliferation financing, facilitation of tax evasion, sanctions and fraud
- Maintain and provide technical updates to all used financial crime risk models
- Coordinate working groups with internal stakeholders to evaluate financial crime risk ratings and manage the Global AFC risk lists
- Serve as the key contact on topics related to the AFC Global Risk Lists for the CRRM Team and Business Divisions (Corporate Bank, Investment Bank (CBIB), International Private Bank (IPB), DWS and Retail Germany)
- Support Risk List enhancements (Industry, Product and Channel risk mapping), New Product Approvals (Client Risk Reviews) and Risk List review governance (meetings, minutes, packs, Management information and SharePoint)
- Assist the impact assessment process of risk list changes in the context of client ratings
- Experience working within Anti‑Financial Crime in an Investment Bank, performing risk reviews
- Sound understanding of the regulatory environment regarding financial crime
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint practitioner is essential
- Basic understanding of developing qualitative risk models
- Proactive and independent work attitude with a willingness to take responsibility and work autonomously
