Location: City of Westminster
A well-known Investment Bank in the UK is seeking a UK Flow Rates Sales Analyst to join their team in London. Overall purpose and main responsibilities and duties of the role:
Responsibilities- Responsible for strengthening and developing the Rates (CB, SSA, linkers and EGB) flow bond products and flow derivatives products.
- Developing the IRD footprint in the UK.
- Supporting and assisting senior members of the team in increasing overall client connectivity and desk activity.
- Contribute to maintaining and growing the Bank's current flow footprint with London-based clients.
- Further develop Interest Rates derivatives activity with frequent users.
- Further build and deepen the client base, primarily across hedge funds and UK-based institutions.
- Assist senior sales team members in client coverage, idea generation, execution, and day-to-day desk activity.
- Work seamlessly with internal partners (Trading, Structuring, Middle/Back Office, Client Services, Coverage teams).
- Liaise with Account Managers and Relationship Managers in other areas of the Bank regarding cross-selling opportunities.
- Plan and organise client visits and meetings, supporting client discussions and negotiations with Banks and non-bank investors to develop trade opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of clients and their needs, positioning the Bank's capabilities accordingly.
- Co-ordinate the efficient execution of transactions with trading teams, ensuring timely, professional pricing and ethical execution of customer flows in line with client and Bank requirements.
- Experience in sales and/or trading within bond Rates flow products (cash and derivatives).
- Strong understanding of relevant products, markets, and trading dynamics.
- Good knowledge of market competition.
- FCA certification (or progress toward certification) is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building skills and diplomacy.
