Ambition are delighted to be partnered with a UK based law firm in their search for a Senior Legal Cashier to join their team. The role reports to a highly experienced finance director and sits in an accounts team of 4. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Legal cashier to join an impressive UK law firm.

Responsibilities
  • Month-end bank reconciliations for Client and Office accounts.
  • Daily bank reconciliations and transfers from Client to Office bank accounts.
  • Reconciliation of Client Monies held on account.
  • Supporting with month-end billing.
  • Posting client disbursements, recharging client disbursements, and settlement of disbursements when funds are received.
  • Daily and month-end reconciliation of credit card spend and raising bills to recharge credit card spend to clients.
  • Quarterly payments - VAT, CT61 and Corporation Tax in advance.
  • Processing, posting, and payment of employee expenses.
  • Supporting with month-end petty cash reconciliation.
  • Support with purchase ledger including coding of supplier invoices to correct nominal codes and branches.
  • Supporting on credit control - a daily task as and when you have the time to ensure clients are constantly being reminded and chased for payment. Escalating problem clients to Head of Finance and Ops and/or lead fee earners as appropriate.
  • Dealing with clients and taking phone payments as required.
  • Supporting and helping fee earners and their support staff as required.

  • Demonstrable resilience and ability to thrive in a high-pressured environment
  • Ability to manage colleague and client expectations effectively and politely, including when issues arise
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven methodical approach
  • Excellent written and oral communication and an ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
  • Being able to work independently and part of a team
