Finance Apprenticeship Programme (within Greencoat)
You will join as part of the Investment
20/20 programme.
Location: City of London, London
You’ll be given introductory training with the internship intake across the firm and more specific training within the Greencoat Infrastructure team, as well as opportunities to network with people across the business. During your internship you will be assigned to the Infrastructure team where you will have the opportunity to shadow senior executives and provide broad infrastructure exposure across asset management, sustainability and investments.
You will also get the opportunity to visit a renewable infrastructure asset as part of the programme.
Hands‑on experience and gain a professional qualification on the job (Level 4 Apprenticeship) within the Asset Management team of the Financial Asset Management department.
Investment20/20
You will join as an apprentice as part of the Investment
20/20 programme. You will have opportunities to meet and network with apprentices across the industry, as well as participate in technical skills training, socials and insight events.
- Recent school or college graduates with A‑levels or BTECs.
- Individuals unsure that university is the path for them.
- Must be 18 years old by 7th September to apply for the 2025 intake.
- Living in England.
- Must not be enrolled in another funded apprenticeship or further education programme at the time of starting.
- Ambitious and enthusiastic self‑starter, eager to learn about the industry.
- Flexible with a keen eye for detail and good IT skills.
- Natural flair for developing relationships and an entrepreneurial mindset.

On this programme, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of the Finance Asset Management team within Schroders Greencoat located in London.
The Finance Asset Management team is responsible for the day‑to‑day financial oversight of the renewable infrastructure assets, covering wind, solar and other energy transition technologies across Europe. The team manages these assets on behalf of investors, who are targeting attractive investment returns from the transition to a low‑carbon economy. Our responsibilities include supporting operational performance, ensuring robust financial controls, and maximising long‑term value.
By joining the Finance Asset Management team, you will be part of a group dedicated to delivering diligent financial stewardship and proactive asset management in an asset class that is growing exponentially as global economies progress towards ambitious net zero targets.
Finance:
- Perform controls on the income statement and balance sheet of assets;
- Help with the financial reporting, working with engineering teams to understand drivers of performance;
- Assist with the management of relationships with company administrators and other service providers.
- Help with the annual statutory financial statements;
- Supporting the business with ad‑hoc requests;
- Participation in projects as they arise.
