General Ledger Accountant

In this position, you will be responsible for general ledger accounting and, together with your colleagues, you will ensure the correct and timely closing of accounting periods. In addition, you will actively contribute to financial analyses, dashboards and reports for management. You will identify opportunities for improvement and actively contribute ideas on automation, digitisation and process optimisation.

• Responsibility for periodic closings and the accuracy of the general ledger administration
• Preparing financial reports and analyses
• Acting as a point of contact for internal and external financial questions
• Initiating improvement processes within the financial processes
• Managing and optimising the invoicing process
• Contributing to automation and digitisation within finance
• Performing cost analyses, accruals, journal entries, depreciation and PPA
• Processing balance sheet files
• Taking care of VAT and CBS returns
• Preparing and supporting audits
• A completed higher professional education degree in a financial field
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
• Affinity with reporting tools such as Power BI (preferred)
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• Proactive attitude and good communication skills
• Hands-on mentality and the ability to switch smoothly between operational and tactical tasks

Who are we?

Active Ants is a fast-growing e-fulfilment company with its head office in Vianen. In our warehouses, we manage stock for various online shops, dispatch their orders and process returns. We have mechanised a large part of our order process using our Autostore storage and order picking system and fully automatic packing machines, and goods are transported through our warehouse via fully automatic roller conveyors or robots.
