You’ll join the Leveraged Finance team within the Corporate & Leveraged Finance Group. The team originates, structures and executes leveraged loan and high‑yield bond transactions across private equity sponsors, leveraged corporates, telecoms and strategic borrowers.
This is a front‑office role offering high visibility, strong client interaction and close collaboration with Senior Originators, Syndicate, Credit Trading, Coverage, and Legal teams.
This is a permanent position based in the City of London (Liverpool Street) which offers hybrid working (3 days per week onsite).
Key Responsibilities Origination & Pitching- Prepare client pitches and market/pricing updates
- Develop pricing rational’unares with the syndicate desk
- Conduct market and sector research
- Review new business opportunities with deal teams
- Prepare internal credit and markets committee&I> memos
- Build financial models for leveraged transactions
- Support documentation negotiations (covenants, commitment papers, IMs, sponsor grids)
- Assist senior originators with Description of Notes and covenant comparables
- Participate in due diligence, drafting sessions, roadshows and client calls
- Produce marketing documentation such as:
- Offering Memorandums
- Roadshow presentations
- Syndication materials (IM, RAP, LP)
- Primary & secondary bond market updates
- Acquisition/leveraged financing proposals
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
- Strong awareness of the business, financial and economic environment
- Experience in leveraged credit, leveraged finance or structured finance
- Strong understanding of syndicated term loans & high‑yield bond markets
- Excellent financial modelling and credit analysis skills
- Clear, confident communication skills
- Strong judgement, initiative, resilience, and ability to prioritise in pressured situations
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
