A fast-scaling insurer is looking for an ambitious Financial Controller to own core accounting and drive the next stage of finance transformation. With several household names in the automotive industry as clients, this Insurtech is going through a rapid growth phase.

The Opportunity You'll report to the VP Finance, work closely with senior leadership, and shape a finance function built for high velocity growth. Expect deep involvement in process redesign, automation, tooling, and data quality. You'll lead a small accounting team, deliver accurate reporting, and ensure finance becomes a true accelerator for the wider organisation.

• Run day-to-day accounting, month-end, reconciliations, and financial controls
• Deliver high-quality management accounts, statutory reporting, FCA submissions, and audits
• Redesign processes for scale, embedding automation, modern tools, and AI-driven workflows
• Partner with commercial teams to align finance with operational and customer needs
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team

What You Bring

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), 3+ years PQE
• Experience in insurance is essential
• Strong technical accounting and hands-on management of financial operations/cash management
• A builder's mindset: organised, detail-driven, and energised by change
• Bonus: insurtech/MGA experience, exposure to automation or finance-transformation projects
