Management Accountant

I am working supporting an established Global Legal Firm who are looking to take on an experienced Management Accountant
. This is a newly created position in the team, that will require a hands‑on, confident Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller and Finance Manager.

Main role responsibilities -

• Supporting with the month‑end reporting process, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Posting of journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Liaising with various stakeholders and auditors.
• VAT returns.
• Producing high‑quality financial analysis supported with relevant data.
• Introducing system improvements and streamlining processes.
• An understanding of SAR - Solicitor Accounting Rules is ideal.
• Supporting the team with new ideas on general process and process improvement.
• Coding and approval of supplier invoices.

Candidates applying need to have or be currently studying towards their ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications. Management accounting experience within a legal firm is ideal as the role requires someone who can hit the ground running. A strong communicator, the ability to build interpersonal relationships, with good time management skills and the ability to work well under a pressure. You will be working closely with regional teams therefore strong collaboration is key.
