Position Overview

Personal Tax Supervisor
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Working Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours (Part time considered)
Package: Circa £65,000, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), private health insurance, hybrid working

Job Overview

Excellent opportunity for an accomplished Personal Tax Supervisor to join a multi‑faceted independent accountancy practice in Central London. This role is suited to a tax expert with a strong background in personal tax, seeking a flexible opportunity to progress within a highly regarded practice. You will step into a leadership role, working closely alongside the tax director, playing an integral role in portfolio management, team development and department growth.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, delivering high‑quality income tax services including preparing returns, handling client queries and portfolio management.
  • Providing advisory services to a wide range of clients.
  • Reviewing personal tax returns and other work to ensure consistent quality.
  • Researching tax queries/technical queries, proposing solutions for review.
  • Supervising and assisting with training of junior colleagues.
  • Collaborating closely with partners and managers.
  • Developing and maintaining good client relations, pursuing any opportunities to grow a portfolio.
Requirements
  • CTA or ATT qualification preferred; QBE considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • Experience using CCH Income Tax.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients within personal tax.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to commute to office when required.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary dependent on experience, paying circa £65,000 (higher DOE).
  • Hybrid working pattern, 60/40 split between office and home.
