Job Description
Bank of London offers a safer business banking model by holding all deposits at the Bank of England, eliminating the risk of 'bank runs'. It provides services such as Payments, Clearing and Settlement, Embedded Banking, Safeguarding and Client Money Accounts, and Virtual Accounts. Powered by proprietary technology, the bank collaborates with SAP Fioneer to deliver innovative solutions. With a focus on exceptional service and core values of compassion, ownership, and curiosity, the bank strives for excellence in all it does.

The Bank has an ambitious and forward‑looking change agenda. We’re looking for a driven, experienced Change Product Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and governing the delivery of new products. This role operates within a strategic governance framework supporting several wide‑ranging initiatives across regulated products. While the hands‑on delivery of each product will be managed by dedicated Product Managers, this role will lead the overarching governance process, ensuring all initiatives align with internal risk, control, and compliance standards (New Product Approval Procedure).

Many of these product initiatives may be developed in conjunction with clients, requiring close collaboration and co‑design. As such, the role demands a strong subject‑matter expertise (SME) in regulation and industry practices, enabling you to contribute meaningfully to product design alongside other bank SMEs. You’ll be the critical link between regulatory requirements, client needs, and product execution – shaping governance strategies that enable innovation while managing risk.

Role Description
  • Deliver the Change Management Procedure (commonly known as New Product Approval) for the Bank’s product roadmap.
  • Own and maintain the Change Management Procedure documentation, including decision records, minutes, risk assessments, control requirements, ensuring an auditable record of the change governance.
  • Coordinate the inputs from across the Bank (1

    LOD, 2

LOD, commercial, finance, legal) to ensure new product proposals are thoroughly assessed beyond technical build.
  • Act as the product business partner to risk and control teams, promoting collaboration on governance requirements and identifying automation or process enhancement opportunities.
  • Ensure new products comply with applicable regulatory, operational, and conduct risk requirements based on across Bank feedback by communicating business requirements to Product Managers.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to governance committees or senior stakeholders on Change Management Procedure status.
  • Monitor post‑implementation performance and risk indicators, ensuring products remain within approved boundaries.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the product governance framework to align with evolving regulation and business priorities.
Requirements
  • Experience managing a Change Management Procedure or equivalent New Product Approval process at a regulated financial institution.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory expectations and internal policy to new product proposals.
  • Strong understanding of bank risk management, compliance, and internal control functions, gained in a financial institution or regulatory environment.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with business, legal, finance, compliance, and risk stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of process automation and digital tooling to enhance governance and reduce manual controls is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex processes and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Highly proficient usage of the Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with project or workflow tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
