Senior Audit Manager

In this role you will lead and manage end‑to‑end internal audits across the EMEA region, providing planning, fieldwork, and reporting across front office, risk, compliance, operations, and finance. It is an excellent opportunity for an audit professional who enjoys a varied, complex regulatory banking environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end‑to‑end delivery of internal audits across multiple business and control areas within the EMEA region.
  • Develop audit planning material and risk assessments to ensure key risks and controls are appropriately tested.
  • Supervise fieldwork, guide junior team members, and provide subject matter input where appropriate.
  • Communicate audit findings clearly and constructively to senior stakeholders and internal audit leadership.
  • Draft and finalise audit reports, highlighting both strengths and areas requiring improvement in the control environment.
  • Perform follow‑up work on outstanding findings, validating remedial action taken by business units.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional audits and thematic reviews across different jurisdictions and business lines.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging risks and provide insight to support the regional audit opinion.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience in internal audit within banking, or relevant financial services audit experience.
  • Broad understanding of banking operations and financial products; front‑to‑back process exposure preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple audits concurrently and deliver to tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence to engage and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of UK and European regulatory expectations.
  • Data analytics skills (e.g., SQL, ACL, Tableau) would be advantageous but not essential.
