Mid-Market Senior Underwriter

This role is perfect for an experienced underwriter who enjoys trading in a dynamic market, mentoring others, and shaping tailored solutions for customers. If you have leadership skills and a proven track record in winning new business, this could be your next step.

You’ll join our Global Broker Team in London, one of Aviva’s key trading hubs, working closely with global brokers in a vibrant and fast‑paced market. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service, driving new and existing business, and contributing to underwriting profit and loss. Alongside trading responsibilities, you’ll mentor colleagues and help improve underwriting capability across the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence strategy and make a real impact.

• Strong underwriting expertise in Property & Casualty, with experience in real estate, specialty lines, or motor as a plus
• Proven ability to win and retain business through effective negotiation and relationship management
• Experience applying underwriting knowledge to improve processes and deliver quality outcomes
• Ability to manage your own caseload within a regulatory environment
• Diploma in CII or willingness to study towards CII qualifications
