About This Role

This part-time Associate Consultant position offers you the opportunity to work on exciting UAS projects and operations, primarily focusing on SORA-based operational authorisations and regulatory compliance, providing perfect exposure and experience to kickstart your career with one of the best drone consulting companies worldwide.

This position sits within the Regulatory Affairs and Commercial unit of Murzilli Consulting. The key responsibility is to assist UAS manufacturers, operators, and industry partners in bringing their products to the market while ensuring compliance with regulations that allow them to fly and operate smoothly. This position offers the chance to be involved in the innovative field of drone technology, guiding products through the necessary regulatory processes.

Required

As an Associate Consultant, you will be contributing to various consultancy projects, supporting the creation and review of technical documentation and presentations, offering recommendations on strategies, policies and procedures, as well as other tasks and deliverables as required:

  • Support the development of UAS safety cases for operational authorisations (e.g. SORA).
  • Review clients’ documentation and provide recommendations for improvement to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop implementation strategies and action plans with achievable targets for clients in their early development stages.
  • Support the liaison with national aviation authorities throughout the regulatory approval process.
  • Coordinate very closely with the consultancy team on all matters related to regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate in other drone-related projects such as UTM/U-Space or CE Marking.
Requirements
  • Candidate should be still enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s study program in Aerospace Engineering, Advanced Air Mobility, or other related field with a strong interest in aviation, especially UAS and AAM development and technologies.
  • Fluent English communication skills in professional environment.
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week in our office in London.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytic and numerical skills with great attention to detail.
Desirable Skills And Experience
  • Knowledge of the SORA methodology, UTM or other UAS-related domains.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and recommended practices, including (but not limited to) UK CAA, EASA, ICAO, JARUS etc.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations.
  • Prior experience with UAS operations in the Specific Category, such as Con Ops development, mission planning and risk assessment.
  • Holder of a Remote Pilot certificate or equivalent would be a plus.
  • Fluency in other languages (especially Spanish, German, Arabic) would be a plus.
