Sustainability Advisor

Liverpool Street | Circa £40,000

Are you looking to take the next step in your sustainability career within a dynamic design and build environment?

Do you want to work on high-profile London projects where sustainability is embedded into delivery rather than treated as a tick-box exercise?

We are supporting a leading design and build company, specialising in large-scale projects across London, to recruit a Sustainability Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced business where you will work closely with project and client teams to drive meaningful sustainability outcomes from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities of the Sustainability Advisor will Include:
  • Work closely with project teams to gather and review evidence for building certification frameworks such as BREEAM and WELL.
  • Translate technical sustainability concepts into clear, practical advice for clients and internal teams.
  • Support sustainability reporting and contribute to project sustainability strategy development.
  • Collaborate with external consultants for certification processes and internal teams for evidence gathering.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and sustainability frameworks.
The Successful Sustainability Advisor Requires:
  • Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline and ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM).
  • Technical understanding and practical knowledge of the built environment and construction industry.
  • Knowledge of environmental accreditation frameworks such as BREEAM, WELL, and LEED, with the ability to interpret and gather evidence for certification.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
