Fluid & Thermal Analysis Engineer - HYTE®

Jobster, City of London, England, United Kingdom

• Fluid & Thermal Analysis Engineer (Contract)

Location:

London, UK

• This role is being managed exclusively by HYTE on a retained basis.

Direct applications and confidential enquiries are welcomed.

Overview

HYTE is retained by a specialist advanced engineering consultancy to identify an experienced Fluid & Thermal Analysis Engineer to provide technical analysis and formal sign‑off on a contract basis. The role is engaged as and when required, supporting a pipeline of technically demanding projects rather than a continuous full‑time workload. The engineer will act as a trusted technical authority, providing independent validation, analysis depth, and confidence across fluid dynamics and thermal performance.

The position suits a highly experienced engineer who is comfortable operating autonomously, engaging at critical project milestones, and standing behind their technical judgement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fluid dynamics and thermal analysis to support advanced engineering programmes.
  • Perform and sign off CFD, thermal modelling, and associated calculations as required.
  • Act as an independent technical authority for design verification and validation.
  • Review internal and third‑party analysis, challenging assumptions where appropriate.
  • Support engineering decision‑making at key design gates and review stages.
  • Interface directly with senior engineering leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure analysis outputs are aligned with real‑world operating conditions and system constraints.
Candidate Profile
  • Highly experienced engineer specialising in fluid mechanics and thermal analysis.
  • Background in gas turbines strongly preferred; experience in turbo‑machinery, propulsion, or high‑energy systems advantageous.
  • Proven capability delivering analysis and sign‑off in safety‑critical or performance‑critical environments.
  • Comfortable operating as a contractor, with intermittent but responsive availability.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage pragmatically with design teams.
  • Able to communicate complex technical findings clearly to non‑specialist stakeholders.
