Graduate Engineer – Main contractor – Central London

Our client is a leading specialist contractor operating across the construction, landscaping, and public realm sectors. The business is known for delivering high-quality, sustainable projects across the UK, working in partnership with clients to create safe, functional, and visually engaging environments.

The client is looking for a Graduate Engineer role who is eager to begin their career in construction and engineering. Working closely with the Site Engineer and wider project team, the successful candidate will gain hands‑on experience across setting out, construction methodologies, sequencing, and site coordination.

• Assist the Site Engineer in carrying out daily engineering and setting‑out duties
• Develop a strong understanding of engineering principles and setting‑out techniques
• Accurately set out works in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Support the implementation of construction sequences and methodologies
• Assist the Site Manager and Project Manager with HSEQ requirements on site
• Maintain accurate site records, including photographs, diaries, and reports
• Measure materials, carry out take-offs, and monitor site stock levels
• Liaise with site personnel, subcontractors, engineers, and material suppliers as required

• Hold a degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering.
• Strong attention to detail, coupled with thorough planning and organisational skills.
• Strong good communication skills
• Desire to work well as part of a team
• Passionate about starting a career in the civils / construction industry
