- Developing and product ionising machine learning, advanced analytics, and decision‑support systems, including Generative and Agentic AI where appropriate.
- Working with Defence stakeholders to translate operational and capability requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Supporting MOD capability and acquisition programmes, aligned to the CADMID lifecycle, ensuring engineering solutions meet operational needs.
- Implementing and maintaining secure, scalable architectures in collaboration with cloud, platform, and security teams.
- Applying Dev Ops and MLOps practices to support reliable, auditable, and maintainable deployments.
- Contributing to technical design reviews, estimates, and solution documentation.
- Supporting proposals and technical inputs to bids where required.
We are keen to speak with engineers who combine strong technical foundations with experience working in secure or regulated environments.
Core Technical Experience- Strong engineering background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or applied data science.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud data platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or Databricks.
- Proficiency in Python (and ideally PySpark); experience with R beneficial but not essential.
- Experience building end‑to‑end data pipelines, feature engineering, and production ML workflows.
- Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, or agent‑based systems, including orchestration and integration into wider platforms.
- Understanding of Dev Ops / MLOps practices, CI/CD, monitoring, and model governance.
- Experience delivering technical solutions within MOD, Defence suppliers, Defence consultancies, or other secure public‑sector environments.
- Understanding of MOD capability and requirements management, including artefacts such as URDs, SRDs, ITEAPs, and RAMS.
- Comfortable engaging with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading small engineering teams or technical work streams (for senior levels).
- Exposure to estimation, technical assurance, and mentoring of junior engineers.
- SC clearance is required.
- DV clearance is preferred and may be required for specific assignments.
- Some roles may be restricted to sole UK nationals.
